Android - App soll Aufgaben im Sekundentakt ausführen

Ich versuche, meine Countdown-App zu erhalten, um seine Funktion der Aktualisierung meiner aktuellen Zeit und Datum TextView und Feuer aus seine MyOnItemSelectedListener jede Sekunde, so dass die App dynamisch statt nur, wenn onCreate initiiert wird herunterzählt. Wenn es eine effizientere Methode als schnell abfeuern MyOnItemSelectedListener würde ich die Kritik zu schätzen wissen.
